ok, so you actually want something like that:
satus: away
status message: "gone fishing...".
or
status message mix: "away - gone fishing..."
right?

Well, then I guess the easiest way to implement that would be to simply add an "away" in that status list and let the possibility to add a custom status message to whatever which status is active at that moment.
I think a drop-down list with the statuses, a textbox for the message and a "set" or "submit" command, to save the changes, will do.
I think, for now, this would be the easiest way to implement it.

Dear admin SHmessenger,
I think SHmessenger need to have chatroom (Ex: Single room, Teenager room, Adult room, Viet room, England room...) like another chat application. SHmessenger will add many members and develop in the future. Thanks.
I come from Vietnam. I like your SHmessenger.

If your phone supports multitasking, you can do that easily. If not...I don't think there is anything shmessenger can do for you.

^_^ I'm using Samsung B2100 so it can not do that. If SHmessenger can do it, I'll have more fun.
I can temporarily escape SHmessenger and back but "no completely escape SHmessenger" while I want to see a message or receive calls. SHmessenger still works normally and I can chat with my friends.

I think we need a web version for non-java or error phones. My friends have error phones and they can't use shmessenger or other applications to online but they can use built-in browsers. They usually use ebuddy lite messenger and yahoo mobile but they use a lot of connection data. Shmessenger is the best mobile IM we have ever use with a data compression server

A web version of shMessenger would use almost same traffic amount as the eBuddy or Yahoo!'s web interface. The java application use small amount of data traffic because it's not required to send HTML data, CSS data and images like in a web messenger

I need a new version with shmessenger's font. We can use sh's font or phone's standard font. My phone (LG BL20 New Chocolate) has a bug with its font. I can't read unicode in Opera Mini 5.1, I can't see any symbols after 23th one. Ebuddy doesn't have this bug because of its font. All the IM apps which use phone's font cause this bug with my phone.
I'm Vietnamese, our country has an app called Ola. It can change between it's font and phone's font. Phone's font for better appeareance and built-in font for better performance (no smoothing and anti-aliasing)
=> I wish you will release a new version with 2 built-in fonts: 1 for better performance (slow phone) and 1 for appearance. And add a new font size (very small) for low-resloution screen like Nokia 3110c because the smallest size in sh is still big for overviewing.
Thanks

How about the Data Counter? So, we can manage the amount of data connection with non-os phones. I think it will be better if sh has a permanent data counter at the conner of the screen

i would like to add these for shmessenger:
1-more custom themes
2-change the notification sound becz its anoying and make it louder.and any option in turning off the sound when contacts sign in/off
3-show online/offline contacts not the groups or an option to choose
4-change display name
5-i cant login to face book even though i made a user name but it says user name or password in correct and mu username between brackets but its right
6-conference chat where more than 2 can chat in one room
7-when i have a chat going and iam viewing my buddy list the tab of the contact who iam talking to is listed as the contact's e-mail.i hope its changed to contact's name only not the whole email becz it takes alot of room
8-change the colors of the font in chat screen in to 2 diffrent colors one for me and one for the contact bezc i find it confusing when the sent and recieved msg are same color i know there difference in name but it will be better.
Please include this stuff in the next version, and i think shmessenger will be as succesfull as ebuddy and even better, thanks

Already implemented. Will be available for all users really soon.
2-change the notification sound becz its anoying and make it louder
i understand the ideea with notification sound but sound volume i don't think it will be changed because:
a) it's a notification sound which means its purpose is to announce you, not to get u deaf.
b) sound volume it's a phone depending thing.
3-show online/offline contacts not the groups or an option to choose
We'll consider this. Although i don't quite understand why would someone have his contacts listed "all in one list". It's a lot more organized in folders but we'll consider your suggestion.
4-change display name
we'll consider it.
5-i cant login to face book even though i made a user name but it says user name or password in correct and mu username between brackets but its right
Lol, you mean your username is like this "(amrsalama72)" including brackets?? Can you once try to login using your username, without brackets?
6-conference chat where more than 2 can chat in one room
already implemented. Will be available soon.
7-an icon that appears when the contact is typing. like in ebuddy ... thanks
we'll consider it.
8-when i have a chat going and iam viewing my buddy list the tab of the contact who iam talking to is listed as the contact's e-mail.i hope its changed to contact's name only not the whole email becz it takes alot of room
we'll consider it.
9-change the colors of the font in chat screen in to 2 diffrent colors one for me and one for the contact bezc i find it confusing when the sent and recieved msg are same color i know there difference in name but it will be better.
Please include this stuff in the next version
You will have custom themes from which you can change the balloon color for Incoming and Outgoing messages. This should solve your problem.
AND PLEASE, CHOOSE A THREAD AND STICK TO IT! Don't post 5 different posts in 5 different threads with almost the same content!

yes, I tested it and it seems to be a problem on the server regarding authentication on Facebook.
We'll try to solve it.

1. I tested both eBuddy and shmessenger. I prefer shmessenger because it has many features. But e buddy has something nice that sh doesn't have: when someone's typing on ebuddy it shows an icon on the top of the screen, next the buddy's id. that's really cool and you should implement something like that too.
2. You should add an auto reconnect feature because sometimes the connection fails, and as I have seen so far it doesn't automatically reconnect you.
And sorry if I said something that had already been said.
Thanks.

1. It has already been requested and ,yeah, it might happen in the future versions.
2. It's a server issue and will be solved in the future by server upgrade.

Hey, I just realise that when we minimize the shMessenger program, it'll not notifiy us when there's an incoming message or Buzz.
If it's possible, I hope the next shMessenger version will included this function, so there'll be a sound notification if there's incoming message when we minimize the shMessenger and doing other activities with our HP.
My friend says the only thing that makes BlackBerryMessenger is so Booming is just because it still can notify user when user minimize the program, just like yahoo messenger in PC.
Hope this can be implemented ASAP in shMessenger, because shMessenger could replace BlackBerryMessenger if it's implemented. since BBM is in consideration to be banned.

At least on my phone (Sony Ericsson) the application "sounds" when I receive new messages or somebody log in/log out from messenger. Maybe it's an implementation problem on your phone

This would eat a lot of heap memory. Imagine what happens if you have about 1000 contacts in your buddylist and a low-end phone with a little amount of RAM. shMessenger is designed to work on as many phones as possible, so we have to thinks at this kind of phones, too.
